Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed has declared that come 2027, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) must be voted out of power in order to give Nigeria and Nigerians respite.

The Governor was speaking at the inauguration of the North-East zonal officials of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) held at the zonal office in Bauchi on Monday.

The Governor pointed out that the ruling APC has failed and therefore must be voted out of power in 2027 by Nigerians.

Bala Mohammed, however, tasked the newly elected officials of the PDP in the North-East to work out modalities of ensuring the successful victory of the party in the next general elections.

Represented by his Deputy, Mohammed Auwal Jatau, Bala Mohammed said that under the leadership of the APC at the national level, Nigeria has experienced an unprecedented decline in its standard of living.

According to him, “The APC, in its years of governance in this country, has failed to deliver on its promises. Rather than create jobs, the party is creating more hardship for the Nigerian people.

“Rather than lift Nigerians out of poverty, their government has deepened the suffering of families, leaving them to struggle with the ravages of hunger and poverty.”

To this end, the Bauchi Governor said that the inauguration of the North-East zonal officials of the PDP marked the beginning of a new chapter for the party to collectively work towards reclaiming the hopes, dreams, and aspirations of the Nigerian people.

He stressed that “Today is a day to celebrate our unity and our unwavering commitment to restoring Nigeria to the path of progress and prosperity. I urge all of you to recognize the enormous responsibility placed upon your shoulders.

“You are the vanguard of change in this region. You are the ones who will ensure that the voices of the people are heard and their hopes are revived.

“The next election is not just about political power, it is about the future of our children, the security of our people, and the well-being of every Nigerian.

“It is about creating a Nigeria where no one is left behind and where Nigerians can finally experience the kind of leadership that meets their needs and secures their future.

“The APC has not only failed in providing the basic necessities of life but has also failed in providing the kind of leadership that inspires hope and confidence.

“But we, as members of the PDP, have a duty to lead with integrity, compassion, and dedication to the people. Our mission is clear: we will not let the dreams of our citizens die under the weight of incompetence and mismanagement.”

Bala Mohammed, while congratulating the newly inaugurated officials of the PDP in the North-East, enjoined them to be the change-makers, assuring them of his administration’s support to succeed.

Responding, the newly sworn in North-East Zonal Chairman of the PDP, Babangida Umar, described their task as enormous and promised to work tirelessly and collectively to achieve the desired objectives.

He assured that the new leadership will work hard to ensure that the PDP reclaimed the three states of Borno, Gombe and Yobe as well as many national legislators in the 2027 general elections.
