The founder of the Ondo Progressives, Mr Adegboyega Amoboye has declared that there will be no vacancy in the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial primary in April saying Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa will receive an automatic ticket to contest the November election.
Amoboye, also member of the Yoruba Education Trusfund (YETFUND), said in a press release that this has been the convention and appealed to the remaining aspirants not to waste their money but wait for their time.
He said what is essential now is for all hands to be on deck with Governor Aiyedatiwa and his deputy, Chief Olayide Adelami to finish the race started by the late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
He commended Aiyedatiwa for demonstrating to be a man of peace and progress by picking his deputy from Owo to appease the people of Ondo North and mobilised contractors back to sites to continue with the development projects started by Akeredolu.
He said the governor has won the heart of Ondo people and stands good to win any election by his good work and manner.
Amoboye appealed to the national chairman and leadership of the APC to remain steafast in their quest for peace, progress and stability by ensuring an automatic ticket for the incumbent governor.
Amoboye said the eyes of APC leaders must remain focused on the ball in the State in preparation for the 2027 presidential election.
Therefore automatic ticket should be guaranteed for Ayedatiwa being the man Providence has put in power for victory in November.
There are about 10 aspirants for the primaries due in April for the November Gubernatorial election and swearing in of the Governor- elect in February 2025.
Mr Amoboye said with opposition landmines, APC leaders in the state must not lose focus also but unite for victory in Ayedatiwa, as the sure bet for the race.
