Sapele, the hometown of billionaire, Jeremi Solaye, hosted people from all walks of life recently as he staged a befitting burial for his late mother, Madam Lilian Jeremi, who passed away a month ago.
As predicted, the funeral programme was attended by wealthy friends and other associates of Solaye who once served as an aide to the former Petroleum Minister, Ibe Kachikwu.
The two-day event was a service of songs, a memorial service, and a reception in honour of the departed, who lived an exemplary life dedicated to serving God and also raising her children.
Sapele was a ground for festivities with a powerful roll-call of the creme de la creme of the Nigerian high society, with the likes of Terry Waya, Timi Alaibe, James Ibori, Ernest Azudialu, Scott Tommey, Julius Rone, Ibrahim Dakwambo, Aremo Segun Oniru, Greg Uanseru, Ruth Osime, Obong Udofia and a lot of other prominent people that stormed the state for their friend, Jeremi Solaye.
