ORGANISERS of the forthcoming Eko Revenue Plus Summit have said the purpose of the two-day summit is to enhance the revenue generation capabilities of Lagos State through robust public-private partnerships (PPP).
Speaking at a media briefing held to unfold the activities for the event, scheduled for September, this year, in Lagos, the Founder/CEO of Modo Ante, organisers of the event, Mr. Bamijoko Okupe, explained that the summit will focus on the critical role of PPPs in driving economic development across key sectors such as Property and Real Estate, Digital Economy, Circular Economy, Energy/IPP and the informal sector.
He explained that the event, a collaboration between his organisation, the state government and other notable brands from the nation’s private sector, is aimed at harnessing a relationship, embodying the spirit of public-private cooperation.
He expressed the belief that the state economy would only work when private and public sectors collaborate and work together.
While emphasising the importance of innovation in driving the state’s economic growth, Okupe also identified sustainability as a key factor in the process; since, initiatives and solutions discussed will focus on long-term, sustainable revenue generation practices that ensure economic stability and growth.
Also speaking at the event, the Special Adviser to the state Governor on Taxation and Revenue, Mr Ogungbo Abdul-Kabir Opeyemi, highlighted the critical role the Summit will play in supporting the Governor’s agenda by shaping the future of Lagos State’s economy.
