We’re committed to good air travel experience for passengers — FAAN

The Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has expressed its commitment to ensuring that air passengers in Nigeria have a good travel experience, especially during this festive period.

Speaking in Abuja, the Managing Director of FAAN, Kabir Mohammed, said the Authority is doing everything possible to make air travel a wonderful experience for passengers.

He said that to give the country a good reputation, FAAN has devised measures to end extortion at the airports in the country.

The MD narrated how the Authority had to deal with issues of extortion, especially at Lagos and Abuja airports.

He hinted at the deployment of the services of ‘mystery passengers’ to solve extortion cases at airports whenever the need arises.

To give passengers a wonderful travelling experience, Mohammed said efforts are on the way to get the cooling systems operating optimally, a measure he said is not just for the festive season but would be sustained beyond the season.

“As much as it is coming very close to the festive season, it is not just meant for the festive season; we intend to sustain it beyond the period.”.

He informed passengers who have complained not to hesitate to call the numbers that FAAN has put out there, assuring that their complaints would be addressed.
