The Old Boys Association of Baptist Boys High School, Abeokuta, has promised to equip the school with world-class facilities for it to maintain lead in academic and sporting activities.
The National President of the Association, Professor Olukayode Oyesiku, stated in his address at the 99th Founder’s Day Celebration of the school, held last Saturday, that the current infrastructural upgrade of the school would rejuvenate the great name of the school.
Oyesiku, the pioneer Vice-Chancellor of the Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, in his address read on his behalf by the first National Vice President, Justice Gboyega Ogunfowora, noted that the school attended by late Chief MKO Abiola; former President Olusegun Obasanjo; the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo; former Judge of the Hauge, Prince Bola Ajibola; former governor of Ogun State, Chief Gbenga Daniel, among others worth to be equipped with state of the art facilities.

He hinted that the school will be celebrating its 100 years of existence in 2023 with lots of facilities to be added to existing ones for educational advancement.
He said, “Looking forward, the year 2022 is very significant and strategic to our focus of massive infrastructural improvement of the school towards the centennial celebration of the school’s existence.
“I want to also appreciate the centennial planning committee for their selfless service to the school and the OBA.
“The committee has lined up a week-long activity to mark the centennial celebration, and I understand that the Committee requires to find to accomplish these laudable programmes.
“We are making efforts to rejuvenate the great name of BBHS Abeokuta in terms of academic excellence sports and infrastructural upgrade in the school.
“A school ninety-nine years or existence deserved to be properly equipped with state-of-the-art facilities such as a modern sports facility giving the antecedent of the school in sport achievement.
“We still hope to have the rejuvenated school that produce leaders across the globe.”
