We’ll complete all ongoing projects, initiate new ones ― Tambuwal

Sokoto State Governor, Rt. Honourable Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has assured that his administration will complete all the ongoing projects across the state and initiate new ones for the progress and development of the state.

Governor Tambuwal stated this in his remarks when he paid the traditional Sallah homage to Sultan Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar in his palace.

This is contained in a  statement signed by Aminu Abdullahi Abubakar, Director of Press, office of the Deputy Governor and released to Journalists in the state.

According to him, “Tambuwal disclosed that the numerous achievements recorded by his administration were due to the support and encouragement it got from the sultan, District heads and other leaders in the state.

“He, therefore, reaffirmed the commitment of the government to execute more viable projects aimed at further uplifting the state to an enviable height” he added.

Governor Tambuwal further stressed the need for all hands to be on deck in the task of propelling the state to a greater height.

In his response, Sultan of Sokoto, Sultan Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar urged leaders at all levels in Nigeria to rise up against all acts of criminality for the common good of the people.

The Sultan also emphasised the need  for security agencies to apprehend any person indulged in the act of criminality no matter his or her status in the society

He acknowledges the efforts being made by the government to address the security challenges confronting the nation while calling for more drastic measures to find a lasting solution to the problem

He assures of traditional rulers support the government moves in that direction to bring peace to the country.

Meanwhile, Sultan Abubakar has warned against acts aimed at tarnishing the good image of the caliphate, saying the caliphate is greater than any individual, group or premodial interest.
