The Sokoto state commissioner of police, CP Ibrahim Kaoje has vowed to rescue the Sokoto State House of Assembly member who was kidnapped earlier today.
The state Police public relations officer (PPRO), ASP Muhammad Sadiq Abubakar, disclosed this while speaking with Tribune Online correspondent.
According to him, “some suspected armed kidnappers numbering about 10, invaded the Bodai town in the middle of the night and kidnapped a serving member of the state house of assembly, Honourable Aminu Magaji Bodai.

“The state commissioner of police, CP Ibrahim Kaoje, has directed the Divisional police officer in charge of the area with reinforcement from the state police headquarters to comb all the bushes around the area.
“He further directed them not only to rescue the victim unhurt but to also apprehend the kidnappers,” he added.
Tribune online had earlier reported that the serving house of assembly member representing Denge/Shuni State Constituency at the Sokoto state House of Assembly, Aminu Magaji Bodai, has reportedly been kidnapped by suspected hoodlums around 1:15 Am between Dange and Bodai town.
