
THE former governor of Sokoto State, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko has donated N 5million to the victims of the recent fire incident at Gada town, headquarters of Gada Local Government of Sokoto State.
 Wamakko announced the donation when he visited Gada town, where he commiserated with the victims, as well as condoled the families of those who lost their lives as a result of the inferno.
 The Senator, who represents Sokoto North Senatorial District said that N2 million is to assist the shop owners whose shops were gutted by the blaze, to help them to rebuild them.

Similarly, N2 million is for the owners of the burnt houses, to enable them to rehabilitate them, while N 1million is for the erection of a temporary Mosque, in place of the existing one that was also razed down as a result of the inferno.
He further pledged to fully rehabilitate the burnt Mosque as soon as possible.
While commiserating with the victims of the fire incident, he urged them to regard the incident as an inevitable act of the Almighty Allah.
He also prayed God to repose the souls of the deceased persons and for Him to grant the affected families to bear the irreparable losses.
Responding on behalf of the victims, former Minister of Culture and Tourism, Senator Bello Jibril Gada, commended Senator Wamakko for the invaluable gesture.
Member of House of Representatives representing Gada and Goronyo Federal Constituency, Alhaji Musa S Adar, also applauded Senator Wamakko for the kind gesture.
