VIDEO: Real reason I was angry with my son — Asake’s father, Malo

Published by

Mr Fatai Odunsi, also known as Malo, the father of Grammy Awards-nominated artiste Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has finally revealed the real reason he was angry with his son.

Tribune Online reports that Malo, in a video that surfaced online a few days ago, appealed to the public for financial support to take care of his health.

Malo, who said he had been paralysed following a stroke, alleged that he had been abandoned by the artiste and had not seen him since March 2022.

He further claimed that his calls to Asake had gone unanswered.

However, in a recent development, Malo explained that his initial annoyance with his son stemmed from being unable to see him for a long period.

He added that if he had heard from him earlier, the matter would not have been made public, noting that there is mutual love between them.

He also revealed that the ‘Sungba’ crooner has sent him money and other essential items he needed.

Malo, who showered prayers on his son, further disclosed that the artiste has begun the process of acquiring a new house for him.

Speaking in his native Yoruba language in a viral video, he said, “He has done so many things for me. The reason I was angry before was because I didn’t see him at all. If I had seen him, there wouldn’t have been any problem at all. He and I like each other very much.

“He has sent me feeding money. Regarding the house he wanted to get for me, he has informed people about it and they are looking for one. I’m so grateful to him. I also thank his mother, Hajia Fatimah Dosunmu.”
