A passenger train travelling from Abuja to Kaduna derailed on Tuesday morning sending panic among passengers and their relations.
Findings by Tribune Online revealed that the incident occurred along the popular corridor shortly after the train departed Abuja around 11 a.m., en route to Kaduna.
A passenger described the scene as panicking which created fear on the passengers. Saying, many passengers have resorted to prayers.
Findings gathered that four coaches have derailed and completely damaged the rail tracks has been affected.
As of the time of filing the reports, Tribune Online gathered that many passengers had been evacuated to the Asham substation.
Even though there is no confirmation or denial from the Railway or government but security sources had confirmed that military personnel have been deployed to the site to assist in evacuating stranded passengers.
