The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has, during a raid, discovered cannabis-infused candies being sold in a kiddies shop in Lagos
The agency’s spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, disclosed this in a post on X on Sunday, sharing a video and photos of the seized items.
According to him, the candies, imported and deceptively branded as regular sweets for children, contained a potent strain of cannabis.
“One of our latest seizures is candies confirmed to contain a strong strain of cannabis. The importer shipped them in for sale in his kiddies shop in Lagos, where he sells children’s items, making it look like a targeted attempt at school kids,” Babafemi wrote.

He warned parents to be vigilant about the sweets and snacks their children take to school or bring home.
“Parents, let’s stay woke on the sweets and snacks our kids consume,” he cautioned.
