The Lagos State government, through its enforcement team, has cleared street traders operating illegally at 2nd Rainbow Junction, inward Mile 2 area of the state.
Lagos State Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, who made this known on Monday, restated the government’s dedication to restoring order on major roads.
In a video shared on X on Monday, officers were seen removing traders whose activities had blocked traffic, endangered pedestrians, and left the area littered.
Wahab noted that the exercise was part of continuous efforts to ensure Lagos roads remain safe and clean.
“Our enforcement team is currently dislodging illegal street traders constituting a nuisance at 2nd Rainbow Junction, inward Mile 2. These activities obstruct traffic flow, endanger pedestrians, and litter the environment.
“We remain committed to keeping our roads safe, clean, and free of all forms of environmental infractions,” he said.
