The Light Up Ibadan crusade took an emotional turn when Prophet Odekunle Epaphras, one of the key ministers of the night, shared his heartfelt testimony about ministering on the same pulpit as the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye.
While delivering his message, Prophet Epaphras took a moment to reflect on his journey in ministry and how the opportunity to preach at Light Up Ibadan overwhelmed him with emotions. He recounted how, for many years, he had only seen Pastor Adeboye in his dreams and never imagined standing on the same pulpit as the revered spiritual leader.
“I only saw Pastor Adeboye in my dreams; I never knew I would share a pulpit with him in my life,” he said, his voice filled with emotion. He further revealed that when Pastor Femi Emmanuel confirmed his invitation to minister at Light Up Ibadan, he was so overwhelmed that he burst into tears.
His confession resonated deeply with the massive crowd at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium (Liberty Stadium), who responded with loud cheers and applause. Many in the audience could relate to his story, as Pastor Adeboye’s ministry was lauded as a source of inspiration to millions worldwide.
Prophet Epaphras went on to eulogise Pastor Adeboye, describing him as a great father in the faith whose life has been a blessing to generations. He acknowledged that standing on the same stage with him was not just an honor but a divine appointment that he would cherish forever.
His emotional revelation added a special touch to the crusade, inspiring young ministers and believers to trust God’s process for their lives.
