Senior Consultant in cosmetic surgery, Apollo Hospitals, Delhi, Dr Shahim Nooreyezdan, has stated that ‘Vampire Facelift’ with its healing and regeneration properties can stimulate skin rejuvenation to result in younger glowing skin.
Dr Nooreyezdan said that ageing is a normal process that takes place over the years regardless of outside influence, adding that after the age of 20, a person produces about one per cent less collagen in the skin each year.
He noted that as a result, the skin becomes thinner and fragile with each passing year, with diminishing functioning of the sweat glands, adding that improper diet, smoking and exposure to the sun create stress on the skin cells that appear as fine lines hyper-pigmentation, uneven skin tone and sagging skin.
Dr Nooreyezdan said: “All these concerns are addressed by ‘Vampire Facelift’, a rejuvenating aesthetic treatment that naturally encourages the skin to build more cells and thus renew itself.
“In this procedure, own blood (hence the name vampire) rich in powerful growth factors is drawn from the patient’s body and separated in its key components delivering Platelet-Rich-Plasma or PRP.
“Vitamins and amino acids are mixed with plasma and then injected into areas that are needed to be pumped up.
“This PRP will stimulate collagen production which would tighten skin cells and lead to a long-lasting effect.”
