The Osun State Government has commenced the distribution of free condoms and lubricants across selected malls and lounges as part of efforts to promote safe sex during Valentine’s Day celebrations.

In a statement signed by the Executive Secretary of the Osun State Agency for the Control of HIV/AIDS (O-SACA), Olusegun Daramola, the government emphasised the importance of safe sexual practices in preventing the spread of HIV/AIDS.

“It’s essential to avoid risky behaviours, such as unprotected sexual intercourse. We encourage those who haven’t already done so to get tested and know their status,” Daramola stated.

He reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to reducing HIV prevalence in Osun State, stressing that the initiative aligns with the government’s broader goal of ending AIDS by 2030.

“To support safe practices, the agency will provide condoms and lubricants at selected locations, including malls and lounges. Please approach our vendors to access these valuable resources. Let’s share love, not the disease,” the statement added.
