The Head, Association of Urhobo Mayoral Family Crown, (AUMFC),    Chief  Israel  Eshanekpe has congratulated the newly crowned 44 Olubadan of Ibadan, His Imperial Majesty, Oba  Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja on his ascension to the throne of his forefathers.

In a statement in Ughelli , Delta state,  AUMFC head,  and an ex- agitator’s leader in the Niger Delta, stressed that only the grace of God could thrust up such an “amiable personality  to such height having gone through the crucible of political firmament in the past but was graciously preserved by the alchemy that makes heroes of mortal men” describing His Majesty as relishing impeccable integrity all his life.

Extending his heartwarming congratulation to the good people of  ancient city  of Ibadan on the divinely chosen monarch, Mayor  Eshanekpe , aka Akpodoro, prayed that  under the royalty of HRM Ladoja, the people of Ibadan shall witness tremendous growth and development.

The Mayor likened the new King, a former governor and senator, to the biblical King David who demonstrated faith and trust in God noting that his relationship with God is characterized by trust and obedience, courage and leadership.

“David demonstrated bravery and leadership, defeating Goliath and uniting the Israelites; these virtues are what the Olubadan represents in the life of his people.

“The new Ibadan king exemplifies humility and willingness to serve God as an Islamic devote and like King Solomon, was granted wisdom by God, enabling him to make wise decisions and judgments,  these are traits that make a great king.

According to him, only with the people’s support can make the king succeed in bringing development to the kingdom just as he also congratulated the Urhobos  resident in Ibadan on the installation of the new King.

He urged them to live harmoniously with their host adding that “as their Mayor,  i will do everything possible to foster harmonious relationship with the new King and his people “.

He assured that the people of Urhobo nation worldwide are hardworking, peaceful and not given to crimes and criminalities where they find themselves.

Eshanekpe called on the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP-led administration in Oyo state to support the king in bringing development to his people noting that the new King deserves the best.

He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for finding time irrespective of his tight schedules to attend the coronation of the king, which he said, is a great testimony for his love for culture and tradition.
