The gale of abduction in Osun State took a new twist on Sunday when unknown gunmen kidnapped two officers of the Federal Roads Safety Corps (FRSC).
Tribune Online authoritatively gathered that the officers simply identified as Abioye and Bayegunni were allegedly abducted between Iwaraja, in Oriade local government area of Osun and Ipetu-Ijesa.
The kidnapped FRSC officers who were serving in the Ondo State Command were said to be travelling back to Akure when gunmen waylaid them between Iwaraja and Ipetu-Ijesa before whisking them away to an unknown destination.
Credible sources informed our correspondent that when their families could not find them, they reported the case to the Police and the Pathfinder Jeep in which they were travelling was found beside the spot where they were abducted.

Policemen were said to have found the identity card of one of the FRSC officers and expended bullets inside the vehicle.
As of the time of filing this report, the kidnappers have not established any contact with the families of their captives.
Some top officers of the FRSC, who spoke to Tribune Online under the condition of anonymity confirmed the incident.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Osun State Police command, Mrs Folasade Odoro also confirmed the abduction of the two FRSC officers to our correspondent, assuring that the Police was making frantic efforts to secure their freedom.
