Vice President Kashim Shettima returned to Abuja on Sunday after representing President Bola Tinubu at the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.
In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Stanley Nkwocha, it was revealed that Shettima delivered Nigeria’s national statement during the general debate at the Assembly.
Beyond addressing the UNGA, the Vice President participated in several bilateral meetings and attended various sideline events.
Following his return, Shettima is expected to join President Tinubu in upcoming activities marking Nigeria’s 64th Independence anniversary.
