Ganiyu, 28, and Mohammed, 30, both residents of Bassa village, Airport Road, Abuja, had pleaded not guilty to a three-count charge of criminal conspiracy, using force and voluntary causing hurt with dangerous means on a sales representative.
The prosecutor, Doris Okoroba, said that the case was reported by Duru, a sales representative, at the Kuje Police Station on Sept. 10.
Okoroba said that the defendants conspired and invited Duru to a spot, where they attacked him with a machete.
She said that Duru sustained several degrees of injuries as a result of the attack and was hospitalised.
She said that the offences contravened Sections 96, 265 and 248 of the Penal Code.
The Magistrate, Taribo Jim, granted bail to the accused persons in the sum N100,000 each, with one surety each in like sum and adjourned the case until Oct. 18 for the mention.
