Two officials from the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency have been recognised among the nation’s best for their exceptional service during the recent Hajj pilgrimage.
The awards were presented by the Independent Hajj Reporters (IHR) at a ceremony in Abuja over the weekend.
The honoured officials are Hajiya Halima Lawal Babale, Acting Director of Administration and Finance, and Alhaji Surajo Umar, Head of Accounts.
They were celebrated for their unwavering dedication to ensuring pilgrims from Kaduna State received the highest standard of care and support.
The National Coordinator of the IHR, Mr. Ibrahim Mohammed, commended the duo for their outstanding qualities and relentless efforts, which significantly contributed to a smooth and spiritually fulfilling experience for the pilgrims.
The event, which also recognized officials from other states and private tour operators, featured an address from Vice President Kashim Shettima.
Represented by Muhammed Bulama, Director-General of the FRCN, the Vice President commended the IHR and reiterated the federal government’s commitment to improving pilgrim welfare and collaborating with all stakeholders for future exercises.
