TWO persons were feared drowned as several parts of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, were flooded following a rainfall that lasted a few hours on Tuesday.
Some concerned persons retrieved the yet-to-be-identified victims and dropped them into a vehicle to convey them to the Adeoyo General Hospital, Ring Road.
The flood led to gridlock in several parts of the metropolis, leaving cars, houses, shops, stalls, offices, properties and bridges underwater.
Some of the areas that experienced flooding were Joyce B, Mobil area on Ring Road, Odo-Ona Elewe, Odo Ona Kekere, Oke-Ado, Mokola Roundabout, Agodi Garden, Sango, Bembo, Fodacis.
There was gridlock in areas leading to Apata, Omi-Adio, Challenge, Molete, Oke Ado, and Sango, with people resorting to trekking home as there were fewer commercial vehicles on the road.
A lot of people had to stay back in safe places till the rain subsided before finding their way home.
