Air Force One touched down at London Stansted Airport, where Trump and his wife, Melania, transferred to a Marine One helicopter for their journey to central London.
The couple will spend the night at Winfield House, the residence of the US ambassador to the UK, located on the edge of Regent’s Park.
On Wednesday, King Charles III will receive President Trump at Windsor Castle to formally begin the two-day visit.
According to the BBC, the programme continues on Thursday with a visit to the prime minister’s country residence, Chequers, where he will meet Keir Starmer.
The trip marks a historic milestone, with Trump becoming the first US president to be granted a second state visit to Britain.
