The United States (US) President Donald Trump has insisted that a ceasefire between the US and Iran is still holding despite the exchange of fire recently.
The US said that it targeted Iranian military facilities responsible for attacking its warships in the Strait of Hormuz, while Iran’s armed forces claimed the airstrikes hit civilian areas.
Trump said the ceasefire is still in effect but warned, “We’ll knock them out a lot harder and a lot more violently” if Iran doesn’t sign a deal soon.
According to CNN, Iran has not yet finalised its response to the US proposal to end the war.
