Troops of Operation Hadin Kai on Tuesday evening ambushed and killed seven suspected Boko Haram fighters along Mayanti Road in Dar El-Jamal, Borno.
Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the troops recovered several bicycles and logistics items used by the insurgents during the operation.

Later that evening, at about 7:30 pm, suspected terrorists launched a retaliatory attack on Dar El-Jamal resettled village, firing sporadically.
But a combined team of soldiers, Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), and local hunters responded swiftly and repelled the assault, forcing the attackers to retreat in disarray.
