Tribuneman emerges 2023 Best Crime Reporter in Bauchi

Assistant Northern Bureau Chief of Nigerian Tribune Newspapers, Ishola Michael has emerged as the ‘Best Crime Reporter of the Year 2023’ (print media) in Bauchi state.

The award was presented to him by the State Police Command at the 2023 end of the year 2023 and the award ceremony held on Tuesday at the Command Headquarters.

While presenting the award to the winner, State Police Commissioner, Auwal Musa Mohammed commended him and Nigeria Tribune Newspapers for accurate reportage of security issues in the state.

According to him, “I always enjoyed reading your report on our activities of the command. Your reports are accurate and near perfect. You have contributed to the effective policing of the state through the reports.

“Your investigations are in-depth and you asked questions to verify reports. That is a good security report process. It allows for accurate information.

“Because of your outstanding performance and support to the command, you have emerged as the Best Crime Reporter of the Year 2023.

“It is therefore my pleasure to present the award to you on behalf of the command, looking forward to more effective and robust relationships.”

The CP also used the medium to commend the positive relationship between the command and Journalists in the state especially those covering security issues and frequently the command.

He expressed confidence that the relationship will grow bigger and more effective to achieve a crime-free Bauchi State.
