Youths in Ogun State have urged governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) to join hands with Governor Dapo Abiodun to develop the state.
This is sequel to the affirmation of Governor Abiodun’s victory as governor in the March 9, 2019 election by the State Elections Tribunal.
Tribune Online recalls that a three-man tribunal panel on Saturday dismissed Akinlade’s petition, describing evidences given by APM witnesses as “lazy, shallow and deficient.”
The youth under the aegis of All Progressives Congress Youth League (APCYL), described the Abiodun’s victory as a true reflection of the wishes of the people of the state, especially those at the grassroots.

Coordinator of the group, Comrade Lamide Lawal, in a release made available to Tribune Online, urged the APM candidate to “eat the humble pie and avoid further disgrace from the judiciary” by accepting the tribunal verdict.
While congratulating Abiodun on the victory, Lawal said the governor’s emergence was a victory for the people of the state because he is a popular choice.
He said the judgement further affirmed the unanimous decision, goodwill, solidarity and support which the people of Ogun State have continued to accord Abiodun’s and his administration for the entrenchment of good governance and people-oriented leadership in the state.
Lawal also enjoined the people of the state to continue to join hands with the governor in moving the state forward for the overall interest of all.
