FIRST time producer and director, Femi Adisa, just released his movie, King Invincible and it has since been making waves at the cinemas.

According to him, he was amazed at the crowd the movie turned out. “ At some point, when I heard the reaction of the audience, tears came out from my eyes. This is my first film. I think it is the beginning of many great things. Imagine that people who supported me did not do so. Imagine that all those who believed in me did not believe. My take is that we need to support new guys in the industry and films like this one”.

He continued “I thank our supporters and sponsors such as LASACO Assurance, EbonyLive TV, African Magic, TVC, Channels TV, among others.

My wife went hungry for days so that we could do the movie. She missed her husband for several weeks, because I was not sleeping at home so that we could do the movie.”

While appreciating the cast and crew, he stated “I appreciate the cast, including Omowunmi Dada, Segun Dada, Tope Tedela, Gabriel Afolayan, We are already getting nominations; we have been nominated at the AMVCA for the best costume. I wrote the story in 2003 but then we couldn’t do a film with such special effects, stunts and all that in Nollywood. So I had to keep it aside, but in 2009 during my NYSC, I touched the story up a little and then started saving towards shooting the film later. In 2015, I felt I was ready to shoot the film now, so I contacted Paul Gaius who made the story into a screenplay and the rest is history they say”

‘King Invincible’ is a Nigerian Epic film that tells a sprawling tale of love and war. A handsome warlord, Taari (Tope Tedela), is fast transitioning into a wolf due to the curse of the dogs placed on him.  He must immediately find the cure or be forever damned. The plot thickens when he discovers that the prince of the village, Adetiba (Gabriel Afolayan) will stop at nothing to prevent him from getting the cure he desperately needs.
