Tinubu’s vote of confidence in Ganduje reflects APC’s trust – Minister

The Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Honourable Yusuf Abdullahi Ata, has praised the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, following President Bola Tinubu’s vote of confidence in his leadership.

He described this as a strong indication that party members are convinced of Ganduje’s progressive efforts in leading the party.

Ata emphasized that the decision, ratified during the National Working Committee (NWC) meeting held on February 25, 2025, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, reflects the party’s unwavering confidence in Ganduje’s leadership.

He noted that this endorsement is expected to further motivate the APC chairman to elevate the party to greater heights, ensuring electoral victories in upcoming elections.

The Minister commended Ganduje for his contributions to the APC and for making Kano State proud through his exemplary leadership on the national stage.

In a statement signed by his aide, Comrade Seyi Olorunsola, and made available to the press on Wednesday in Kano, Ata highlighted Ganduje’s extensive political experience, which includes eight years as Deputy Governor and another eight years as Governor of Kano State.

He credited this background with strengthening the party’s structures and fostering unity among its members.

According to Ata, since assuming the role of National Chairman on August 3, 2023, Ganduje has demonstrated outstanding leadership, guiding the APC to significant electoral successes.

According to Ata “Since assuming the role of National Chairman on August 3, 2023, Dr. Ganduje has demonstrated exceptional leadership, steering the APC to remarkable successes in various elections.”

Under his guidance, the party has achieved significant victories in off-cycle governorship elections, notably in Edo, Ondo, Kogi, and Imo States.

These triumphed underscore the strategic direction and unity he has instilled within the party.

Ata stated “In Edo State, the APC’s candidate, Sen. Monday Okpebholo, secured a decisive win in the September 2024 governorship election, a testament to the party’s growing influence in the region.
