Nasir El-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna, has criticised the current administration, stating that the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not acting in the best interests of Nigerians.
He made the assertion when featured on Channel’s Sunday Politics programme, monitored by TRIBUNE ONLINE on Sunday.
“Everyone knows that I am one of the founding fathers of APC and also knows that I made some contributions in bringing Asiwaju (Tinubu) into the presidency.

“If Asiwaju’s government has derailed and is not doing what he should do, he is not serving the interests of Nigerians, so I should not criticise him? Is that the logic in Nigeria now?
“The purpose of government is to get things done for the people and the country,” he opined.
He also accused the Kaduna State Government of sponsoring the recent attack on the ADC gathering in the state, adding that he would provide evidence to the appropriate authority to investigate.
Recall violence broke out on Saturday at the inauguration of a transition ADC committee formed by opposition parties in Kaduna.
Suspected thugs invaded the venue, attacking participants and damaging property.
Several people were injured, and vehicles were destroyed.
Despite the chaos, the inauguration of ADC committee in Kaduna went ahead under tense conditions.
