Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Minister, Barr. Nyesom Wike, has said President Bola Tinubu will commission a lot of infrastructure projects embarked upon by the FCT Administration under his watch.
The minister disclosed this to newsmen on Saturday after an inspection tour of the ongoing A2-Pai-Gomani road in Kwali area council, of the nation’ capital, Abuja.
Wike who said the road when completed will benefit agrarian communities in the axis, was impressed with the quality and pace of work done by the contractor, also commended the chairman, traditional rulers and the good people of Kwali area council for supporting the contractor.
He said: “First of all let me commend the location site where we are now which is been done by Zerberced , this is A2 to Pai and I’m very much impressed with what I have seen they both shown capacity and it means that they are going to deliver on time.
“This is what I have always said that we would give out jobs to those who show capacity and not on sentiment and on Pai to Gomani the contractors have done about earthworks of about 12km what you saw there has to do with the bridge so they are doing the piling so it might not appreciate until you get down to the end of the village I still believe that they are also within time that the time given they will meet up.
“What is about now is to see that the earth work gets completed before the rain starts. So I’m happy and the communities are happy you can see how they came out to celebrate, what is important here is assuming we did not award this A2 to Pai and then we start the job from Pai to Gomani you would have seen danger but thank God that we took that decision and it has paid off.
Very impressed and this is an agrarian community imagine those who have their farms here how happy they would be so i am very happy and I thank the chairman of kwali area council for the support he has been given to the contractors,the traditional rulers and the youths and that is what it is supposed to be to own up the project because it is for their own interest honestly I’m really impressed.
“When I meet with the field officers, what you should know is that they will be a lot of projects to be commissioned by May for the second anniversary of Mr President that is certain.”
