President Bola Tinubu is poised to mark his one-year tenure in office by commissioning approximately 11 projects in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
This announcement was made by the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, during a media chat.
Although Wike could not recall all the projects, he assured that there were additional projects for the President to commission.
Sworn in on May 29, 2023, President Tinubu’s tenure has seen significant infrastructure development in the FCT.
Three months later, the president appointed Wike, a leader of the opposition PDP.
Some of the projects slated for commissioning include
1. Federal Secretariat (First Phase)
2. Abuja Metro Line
3. Southern Parkway
4. Roads B6 and B12
5. Vice President’s official residence
6. Wuye Interchange
7. Outer Southern Expressway (OSEX)
8. Northern Parkway (N20)
9. Guzape Lot 2
10. Guzape Diplomatic Area
11 . Five access roads to the Abuja train stations
During the media chat, Wike also addressed various topics, including political dynamics in Rivers State and his current relationship with Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
