President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Saturday reiterated his administration’s commitment to treat all sections of the country with equal rapid growth and development, through the various sectors of the economy.

The President stated this through the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume during this year’s edition of the cultural festival at Oju Local Government Area of Benue State.

Senator Akume who represented the president at the occasion said that under the renewed hope agenda, all sections of the country are experiencing rapid growth and development, through the various sectors of the economy.

He said, “The renewed hope agenda of President Tinubu has been able to touch on every region of the country, with the economy growing on a positive trajectory as both the base and superstructure are accelerating rapidly.”

Senator Akume noted that Benue state has benefited tremendously from the Tinubu administration with juicy appointments and physical infrastructures.

He promised that the state would continue to witness more patronage from Tinubu’s administration, adding that already the contract for the construction of Oju-Ogoja road had been awarded.

While lauding the Igede Traditional Council for preserving the Igede Agba new yam festival, Akume said that the festival has remained a beacon of unity amongst its sons and daughters.

.The SGF said that President Tinubu recognized the importance of traditional institutions which he described as an instrument for peace, unity, and progress.

“It is also a veritable tool for the present administration to explore to solve development purposes and other sundry issues,” Akume said.

He also noted the traditional institution’s critical role in peace-building processes in troubled zones.

“Your Royal Highness the Adiharu of Igede, CP, Oga Ero retd, I wish to commend you very specially for hosting yet another successful edition of this rich cultural festival (the Igede Agba new yam festival)

In his earlier speech, the traditional ruler, His Royal Highness, Adiharu of Igede, Oga Ero thanked the president for honouring his invitation and also appreciated him for connecting Benue to the national government through the SGF and other juicy appointments.

He said, “Your Excellency Sir, I and my entire kingdom are very grateful to you for honouring our humble invitation to be part of this year’s celebration of our rich cultural heritage.

“We are overwhelmed with joy to receive the news of the award for the construction of Oju-Ogoja Road. This road has been a nightmare to us over the years until your government graciously came to our rescue.“
