Tinubu ready to work with Atiku, Obi — TSO

The Tinubu Support Organization (TSO) on Friday advised the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar and his Labour Party (LP) counterpart, Peter Obi, to discontinue the effort to challenge the election of President Bola Tinubu, noting that he is ready to bring them on board for the sake of the country.

The Director General (DG) of the organization, Aminu Suleiman, who said this in chat after observing Friday prayer at the presidential villa mosque in Abuja, noted that Tinubu has already demonstrated his intention by appointing former governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, who is a PDP member, into his cabinet.

He said it was the same sentiment that informed the president’s consultations with members of the opposition, including the leader of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) and former Kano State governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso.

Suleiman assured President Tinubu is ready to work with his challengers, should they be willing to work with him, for the country’s sake.

He also advised them not to dissipate resources on continuing legal challenges but should rather begin their preparations for the next election.

The TSO boss stated: “If you can remember, after he (Tinubu) won the election, he said that he would form a unity government, and you could see former presidential aspirant Rabiu Kwankwaso was here in the presidential villa and many of them.

“You can see that even the minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, is in PDP. So, I think he is already bringing them together if they are ready to join him. If they love Nigeria and not just themselves, they should come and join Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”

Reacting to the judgment of the Presidential Election Petitions Court (PEPC) affirming the election of President Tinubu, Suleiman asserted that the decision was an act of God that gladdened all those who campaigned for the former Lagos State governor.

He praised the Appeal Court justices for the amount of time they took to deliver the judgement, saying that with the ruling, Tinubu would remain the president.

He said about the challenges, “We just advised them to go and prepare for the next election. Asiwaju has come to stay and insha Allah, nothing can stop him from continuing to be Nigeria’s president because in Nigeria, we have not had a more democratic election.

“People are just wasting their time. They should go and start preparing for the next election. This one has already happened. They can go to wherever they like, but they cannot get anything.”
