A political analyst, Dr Adetokunbo Pearce has criticised the economic policies of President Bola Tinubu, saying he is disappointed with the latter.

According to him, President Tinubu knows nothing about Economics as widely claimed adding that “he is just a bookkeeper (accountant)”.

The PDP chieftain made the remarks while commenting on the outcome of the recent fuel subsidy withdrawal on Channels Television’s programme, Sunrise Daily, on Monday.

Speaking further on Channels Television, he regretted that Tinubu does not listen to advice or does not have competent advisers.

His words: “The President (Tinubu) does not know everything. I’m frankly disappointed in Tinubu. I thought he understood economics but now realise he is just a bookkeeper. He is an accountant who only collects and records money.

“But to develop economy, it takes a business mind, that is, somebody who understands the give and take in business.”
