Tinubu celebrates Jola Ogunlusi on 90th birthday

President Bolaa Tinubu has extended heartfelt birthday congratulations to Chief Jola Ogunlusi, a distinguished veteran journalist and former National Secretary of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), who celebrated his 90th birthday on September 25, 2024.

In a letter dated October 12, 2024, President Tinubu praised Ogunlusi for his significant contributions to the journalism profession and his unwavering dedication to union leadership.

He described Ogunlusi as an “exemplary professional journalist” whose career has been marked by integrity and commitment to excellence.

He observed that as the first NUJ National Secretary, Ogunlusi played a pivotal role in stabilizing the association during turbulent times, setting a foundation that has allowed it to thrive today.

His leadership and commitment to the interests of journalists have left an indelible mark on the Fourth Estate of the realm, the president noted.
