Hon. Kafilat Ogbara, a member of the House of Representatives representing Kosofe Federal Constituency in Lagos State, has expressed confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ability to address Nigeria’s current economic challenges. Speaking at her Constituency Town Hall meeting in Magodo, Lagos, she urged Lagos residents and Nigerians to be patient and persevere, emphasizing that Tinubu has the political will and capacity to fulfill his promises.

During the event, Hon. Kafilat Ogbara empowered women, widows, and physically-challenged individuals, including a blind vulcanizer, with cash gifts of N200,000 each. She commended Tinubu for making promises during the election campaign and reassured the public that those promises would be fulfilled. Ogbara highlighted Tinubu’s political will, bravery, and courage as factors that would contribute to positive changes in Nigeria.

Ogbara urged patience, stating that the impact of Tinubu’s programs would be visible when the Federal Government fully implements his first budget in office. She expressed confidence that positive changes would occur, stating, “We are confident things will change, and we shall begin to see the impact of his program on the people.”

The lawmaker emphasized her commitment to alleviating suffering in her constituency and pledged to continue empowering women, youths, and the physically-challenged. She promised a turnaround in their business ventures and stressed the importance of inclusiveness in her efforts.

Acknowledging the constituents’ support and trust, Ogbara assured them that their voices, concerns, and aspirations guided her decisions in the parliament. The Town Hall meeting served as an opportunity for her to give an account of her stewardship and receive feedback to enhance legislative performance.

The Chairman of the Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, commended Ogbara for her impressive record and fulfillment of promises. He urged Nigerians, especially religious leaders, to pray for President Tinubu, expressing confidence that there would be light at the end of the tunnel. Ojelabi also acknowledged the economic challenges but called for patience, stating that leaders, including Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, were working to alleviate hardship.
