APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Bashiru, and Hadiza Bala-Usman were named Deputy Secretary and Assistant Secretary, respectively.

The campaign council will also have an advisory body comprising former APC National Chairman, Chief Bisi Akande; Chief Segun Osoba; Senator Rochas Okorocha; Senator Abdullahi Adamu; and Senator Florence Ita Giwa.

They will work alongside Senator Opeyemi Bamidele and Senator Jibril Barau in the two zones. Senator Adams Oshiomhole was appointed Deputy Director-General in charge of mobilisation, while the President’s Chief of Staff will oversee administration as Deputy Director-General.

James Abiodun Faleke, who played a prominent role in Tinubu’s 2022/2023 presidential campaign, has also returned as Deputy Director-General for Election Planning, Coordination and Monitoring.

Faleke will work with zonal directors, including Senator Olushola Adeyeye for the South-West, Dr Ngozi Olejeme for the South-South, Senator Uche Ekwunife for the South-East, Muntaqha Rabe for the North-West, Ahmed Muhammed Ketso for the North-Central and Senator Sani Danladi for the North-East.

Other members of the legal team include Prince Lateef Fagbemi, Ibrahim Shema, Worgu Boms and Dr Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh.

He will work with Dele Alake, Bayo Onanuga and Lanre Issa-Onilu. The media directorate also includes Tunde Rahman, Sunday Dare, Daniel Bwala and Felix Morka as Coordinating Deputy Directors.

The campaign has also appointed five spokespersons, led by Dele Alake. Others are Alwan Hassan, Ayobami Oyalowo, Kemi Asekun-Shittu and Adamu Fanda.

President Tinubu charged members of the campaign council to work tirelessly towards securing victory for the All Progressives Congress in the January 2027 presidential election.

He also urged directors of the various campaign directorates to reach out to other party members who were not included in the official list but could contribute to the campaign.

According to Tinubu, his administration has delivered on its campaign promises and placed Nigeria on a path of economic progress.

He urged the campaign team to highlight the administration’s achievements and give Nigerians renewed confidence ahead of the election.

“We have delivered on our campaign promises and set our country on a path of economic progress,” Tinubu said.

He added that the APC must confidently present its record to Nigerians and defeat opposition forces seeking to take the country in what he described as the wrong direction.

The appointment of Edu and other prominent party figures was announced by the special adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, marks the beginning of the APC’s formal preparations for Tinubu’s 2027 re-election campaign.
