President Bola Tinubu has appointed Deputy CBN governor, Mr Folashodun Adebisi Shonubi as the acting Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria following Emefiele’s suspension.
Until his appointment, he was the Deputy Governor of, Operations Directorate.
Bayo Onanuga, a media aide to Tinubu disclosed this in a post via his Twitter handle on Friday.

His suspension took immediate effect, according to a statement by the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
