Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has felicitated with President Muhammadu Buhari and the people of Nigeria on the occasion of the nation’s 59th Independence anniversary urging Nigerians to unify for peace and success.

Tambuwal made this assertion on Tuesday while addressing Mammoth crowd of youths of the state at an interactive session with them as part of activities marking the country’s 59th Independence anniversary.

Speaking at the interactive session held at the auditorium of the Sokoto international conference center Kasarawa where he implored  all citizens at home and in the diaspora to remain firmly committed to the unity of Nigeria as a nation.

He further advised that we must review not just the last 59 years but also attempt to project further afield into the years ahead and marshall our plans for socio-political and economic growth for sustainable development.

The Governor while congratulating every citizen of the state on the joyous event also paid tribute to Leaders who fought gallantly for the Independence of the country and expressed optimism that Nigeria shall surmount its current challenges to continue to be United and remain the shining star.

He, therefore, calls for sustained prayers for the survival of the country and assured that his administration would continue to implement policies and programmes aimed at taking the state to a greater height.

Governor Tambuwal assured that more youths will be engaged in governance in the state for them to continue to display their God-given talents as being done presently in his administration.
