A 14-year-old boy, Malik Kareem, was allegedly murdered by three of his colleagues for ritual purposes in Ibadan.
According to reports, Malik was killed and beheaded by his friends in the Olorisaoko community, located in the Akinyele Local Government Area, on Saturday.
An anonymous source revealed that Malik and his three friends had approached a cleric, who is now on the run, seeking wealth through ritualistic means. However, unknown to Malik, his friends had conspired with the cleric to sacrifice him instead.

The source recounted, “When they arrived at the cleric’s place, Malik was strangled, beheaded, and his body was subsequently cremated.
We rushed to the scene upon hearing the news, but by the time we arrived, the cleric had already fled. We found Malik’s lifeless body, decapitated and lying in a pool of blood.”
In the aftermath of the horrifying discovery, some unidentified youths in the community reportedly set the cleric’s house on fire.
According to the Oyo Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Adewale Osifeso, the police are fully aware of the incident and have already begun an investigation to identify and apprehend those responsible. He assured the public that updates would be provided as the investigation progresses.
