Big Brother Naija ‘No Loose Guard’ season nine has entered its final week with only eight housemates to battle for the ultimate prize.

From an initial housemate of 28 duo pairs, the finalists are competing for the grand prize of 100 million naira and a brand-new SUV. These finalists include Kellyrae, Sooj, Victoria, Wanni, Ozee, Nelly, Anita and Onyeka.

Here are a few things to know about each finalist:

1. Kellyrae: Kellyrae Sule, born on September 29, 1991 and hails from Delta State. He made headlines after revealing his secret marriage to fellow housemate Kassia Sule following her eviction. Paired with Kassia as ‘Doublekay,’ Kellyrae’s strategic gameplay and leadership earned him the Head of House (HOH) title in Week 9, securing his spot in the finale. His calm demeanor, coupled with tactical alliances, has kept him in the game, making him one of the most watched contestants this season.

2. Sooj: At just 23, Sooj is a communication specialist and the youngest of five children. Paired with Topher under the name ‘Aces,’ Sooj initially struggled to make his mark, with his quiet nature often causing him to fade into the background. However, his resilience paid off when he won the HOH challenge in Week 8 and avoided nominations in Week 9, thanks to his close bonds with other housemates, particularly Nelly.

3. Wanni: Wanni, a 27-year-old disc jockey from Kaduna State, entered the house alongside her twin sister Handi as part of the duo ‘WanniXHandi.’ Her time in the house has been a rollercoaster of emotions, with both happy moments and tearful diary sessions. Known for her competitive nature, Wanni has been at the center of house speculation and occasional confrontations, especially regarding her strategy. Despite this, her maturity, particularly in her dealings with Ruthee, has endeared her to viewers.

4. Ozee: Ozee Mbadiwe, 37, is a lawyer, entertainer, and entrepreneur from Imo State. His connection to one of Nigeria’s prominent politicians has sparked conversations outside the house, but inside, Ozee’s sense of humor and carefree attitude have kept the atmosphere lively. Paired with his twin brother as ‘Mbadiwe Twins,’ Ozee has formed strong connections, especially with Victoria and Onyeka, earning him respect despite facing a few nominations.

5. Victoria: Victoria, 25, is a travel consultant and commercial model. Entering the house paired with her friend Shaun, she quickly became one of the most stylish and fashionable housemates. Her sharp wit and friendship with Kassia, dubbed ‘Kastoria’ by viewers, made her a fan favorite. Her ability to balance grace and charm with strategic gameplay has kept her at the forefront of the competition.

6. Nelly: Nelly, a 29-year-old chef and entrepreneur from Abia State, entered the house with her friend Anita as the duo ‘Nelita.’ Known for her fiery personality, Nelly was involved in one of the most talked-about altercations of the season with Chinwe. Despite being seen as confrontational by some, her bond with Anita and her growing friendship with Sooj have added layers to her personality. Nelly’s fearless nature and strong opinions have made her one of the season’s standout housemates.

7. Anita: Anita, 28, is a specialist practitioner from Imo State. Often seen as one of the quieter housemates, Anita’s intelligence and problem-solving abilities have shone through in tasks, positioning her as a dark horse in the competition. Paired with Nelly as ‘Nelita,’ Anita also developed a romantic connection with Topher, with hopes of continuing their relationship outside the house.

8. Onyeka: Onyeka, 28, is a lawyer and entrepreneur from Anambra State. She entered the house paired with her elder sister Chizoba as the duo ‘Chekas.’ Onyeka’s journey has been one of resilience. She’s faced numerous challenges, including heated altercations with Dami and Chinwe, with tensions peaking after Chinwe’s offensive remarks. Onyeka’s ability to maintain composure while standing her ground has earned her respect from both housemates and viewers alike.

As the grand finale approaches, these eight finalists have proven their worth, each bringing something unique to the table. Who will walk away with the coveted prize?
