Lukman Adio is the founder and Managing Director of Olorunloniwosan Islamic and Herbal Medicine centre in Ibadan. In this interview with, he speaks on how herbal medicine can rescue Nigerians from the most dangerous health disorders that afflict them.
IF we look at our environment today, different kinds of ailments are becoming incurable even for orthodox medicine. With some health conditions like high/low blood pressure, diabetes, and others killing people every day, can we get the solution to them in herbal medicine?
Firstly, I always tell people that there is no sickness or disease afflicts people that God has not provided its cure or solution. But any illness that has defied all solutions may be said to be by divine providence. God, who created all lands and races, has given each people what they will be using to heal and cure their illnesses. As such, the leaves and herbs that God created for us in Nigeria, or let’s say Yorubaland, may not be good for some people in another land, country, or race. And what God gave to those people may as well not be compatible or useful to cure our illnesses in this part of the country. However, research has taught us that if we as humans take cognizance of and rightly apply and process the herbs God has placed in our territory, we can always get permanent solutions to any disease or sickness affecting us.
Some diseases and illnesses have been labeled as incurable in the country today, but that is far from the truth because, in reality, there is no illness cannot be cured, except if it had been divinely programmed that it is that diesease that will kill that person. Most times, orthodox doctors often make people strongly believe that certain illnesses cannot be cured, but can only be managed. The implication of such is that once people have any of the so-called incurable diseases, the fear and anxiety that they can’t be cured would have almost killed them. The anxiety has even killed some people, but this shouldn’t be with the abundance of herbs that God has provided in our environment.
One of the health disorders that many people have been made to believe is high blood pressure and diabetes. Another one is cancer, which many believe is not curable but treatable. But many researches in herbal medicine have made us know that these health challenges can be completely cured and that a person will not even see them again. The same thing goes for stroke. Many people believe it can’t be cured with orthodox medicine, but I can confidently say that we have herbal solutions that we have tested and proven to cure all these health issues. In fact, for each health disorder, there are up to 10 different herbal solutions that can be used, depending on which one will be compatible with a patient’s body system. This is because our body systems are different and they also react differently to herbal medicines. And that is why God never created just one kind of leaf. So, there are many leaves. If Taiye used leaf A and it worked for him or her, Kehinde may use the same leaf A to cure the same illness, yet it won’t work, which simply means his or her system is not compatible with leaf A. So he or she can try leaf B and other leaves, and before you know it, the sickness will be cured.
But what about health disorders like fibroid, how available is their solution in herbal medicine?
Yes, fibroid is another health disorder that orthodox doctors often refer to for operation. However, research has shown that there are solutions for it in herbal medicine that won’t involve any operation. I have many testimonies to this. Some diseases often afflict men, while some are for the female. Prostate cancer is for men alone, but other cancers affect the female gender alone also. There is infertility which is another health problem that affects couples and marriages. There are solutions, in herbal medicine, be it primary infertility or secondary infertility, except if the problem is divine orchestration, which is why we always first carry out a test on a patient to know the exact health challenge and what will be the right herbal solutions to it. We don’t just accept people and start giving them herbal concoctions without first carrying out tests on them. Most times, it is the result of the test that determines what we will give the person.
One common health challenge that women suffer is infection, which often opens the window for other illnesses and diseases to enter the person’s body. We also cure it. Though some infections do prove to be stubborn, we often get the right solution to them at the end of the day. Be it blockage or ovarian infections, we have the cure, including irregular menstruation and hormonal imbalance. We have what can be used to correct them so that the lady can be ovulating properly, because if a woman is not ovulating properly, she won’t be able to get pregnant. For men and boys, the common sickness is low sperm count. The sperm may be weak, watery, or even without eggs, but God has given us herbal solutions to correct all these anomalies.
In the aspect of treating stroke, for instance, what are the experiences you have had or cases you have treated?
For stroke, what we have discovered is that once a person is down with stroke and people had first taken him to the hospital and has been given different injections, it often becomes difficult for the herbal solutions we will later give such a person to work very fast. Treating people like that usually takes time, because the injections that have been given to the person at the hospital would have affected some veins in his body, such that he won’t be able to lift or control either his leg or hand. But if the person is brought immediately he suffers the stroke, or she is brought to the herbal centre without first being taken to the hospital, such cases are usually faster to treat and cure, and will even be less costly. That is why we do tell people, once they contact us over stroke patients, not to take them to the hospital or give them any injections, so as not to jeopardize their chances of getting quick and faster healing.
