The Connected Awards: Celebrating professionals making digital innovations globally

In an era where digital transformation is at the forefront of progress across industries, acknowledging the individuals who are driving this change is not just important—it is essential. The Connected Awards stands as a premier platform dedicated to celebrating and honouring professionals who are pushing the boundaries of digital innovation, driving significant impact, and fostering growth in the global tech ecosystem.

Digital innovations are reshaping the way we live, work, and interact. From artificial intelligence and machine learning to blockchain, cybersecurity, and fintech, these innovations are disrupting traditional industries and opening up new growth opportunities. The professionals behind these technologies often work tirelessly to bring ideas to life, but their contributions are sometimes overlooked. The Connected Awards was established in 2021 by Qazeem Oladejo to fill this gap by recognizing the incredible efforts of these professionals who are making groundbreaking contributions to the digital world.

What sets The Connected Awards apart is its global reach. Professionals from various sectors and regions, from North America to Africa, Asia to Europe, are acknowledged for their achievements. The awards honour not only their technical expertise but also their leadership, mentorship, and dedication to fostering an inclusive and innovative digital landscape. Whether it’s a software engineer creating an impactful AI solution or a cybersecurity expert safeguarding organizations from new threats, The Connected Awards ensures that these trailblazers get the recognition they deserve.

The journey to becoming a certified Global Tech Hero through The Connected Awards is both rigorous and prestigious. Each nominee must gather a certain number of attestations from colleagues, peers, mentees, and even clients who can testify to their excellence in their field. These attestations are more than just endorsements—they are stories of impact, collaboration, and leadership that showcase the nominee’s true contribution to digital transformation.

Once the necessary attestations are submitted, the process moves to a thorough review stage by a private panel of experts. The panel ensures that every nominee has demonstrated tangible achievements in driving innovation, solving complex problems, and contributing to the growth of the digital economy. Only those who meet the highest standards are certified as Global Tech Heroes, a testament to their expertise and leadership in the tech industry.

One of the key missions of The Connected Awards is to highlight diversity within the tech community. The awards celebrate professionals from all backgrounds and aim to create a more inclusive narrative within the digital space. Whether through recognizing the achievements of women in tech, underrepresented minorities, or professionals from emerging economies, The Connected Awards serves as a global platform where talent and innovation are celebrated regardless of geography or background.

Professionals who receive the Global Tech Hero certification often note that it serves as both validation of their work and motivation to continue pushing the boundaries of innovation. The certification not only elevates their standing within the tech community but also positions them as thought leaders and change-makers who are shaping the future of technology.

The impact of The Connected Awards goes beyond recognition—it serves as a beacon of inspiration for aspiring tech professionals. By celebrating the achievements of those at the cutting edge of digital innovation, the awards encourage others to strive for excellence and embrace the challenges and opportunities within the tech space.

Young professionals, in particular, benefit from seeing their mentors and role models celebrated on a global platform. The awards highlight the importance of collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning, which are essential elements in the fast-evolving world of technology. By fostering a community of recognized tech heroes, The Connected Awards helps create a culture of support, innovation, and excellence within the tech industry.

As the world becomes increasingly reliant on digital solutions, the need to celebrate those driving innovation will only grow. The Connected Awards will continue to play a crucial role in honouring the professionals who are at the forefront of this transformation. By highlighting the work of these innovators, The Connected Awards not only recognizes their achievements but also contributes to the global conversation about the future of technology and its role in society.
