Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed gratitude to the United States after his meeting at the White House, where he discussed continued military and economic support for Ukraine.
Following his departure, Zelenskyy released a statement on X, acknowledging the support received from the U.S. government and its people.
“Thank you America, thank you for your support, thank you for this visit. Thank you @POTUS, Congress, and the American people. Ukraine needs just and lasting peace, and we are working exactly for that,” he said.
His visit to Washington included high-level discussions with President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance, focusing on peace talks and defense against the 3-year-old ongoing Russian aggression. The meeting came at a critical time as Ukraine continues to seek international assistance to sustain its war effort.
