According to an eyewitness, the Ore accident which happened in the early hour of Sunday morning was caused by a head-on collision of the two vehicles involved in the crash.
He explained that one of the drivers of the vehicles drove against the traffic to avoid a damaged spot on the road before ramming into an oncoming vehicle at the opposite side.
Confirming the accident, the officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps, however, said the accident which involved a black Mercedes Benz jeep with registration number EPE 144 EW and a blue Toyota Carina car with number plate KTP 580 RG, occurred around noon.
The Ondo State Sector Commander of the corps, Mr Vincent Jack said seven people were involved in the accident but said six people lost their lives in the crash while one person was injured.

Jack said the accident was caused as a result overspending of the vehicles involved.
Similarly, four people were killed in Ibaka market in Akungba when the driver of a truck lost control of the vehicle, killing a woman and her children while two others were seriously injured.
An eyewitness explained that a truck driver with registration number LSD 509 XM lost control of the vehicle and rammed into a roadside market in the town.
The FRSC boss said “the remains of the deceased had been deposited at the morgue of the State Specialists Hospital in Ikare Akoko while those injured were also taken to the same hospital for treatment”
He urged the motorists to always avoid overspeeding and should always keep to traffic rules and regulations.
