Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State has called on Nigerians to use their sense of humanity and pray for President Muhammadu Buhari because it is in our collective self-interest to do so.
This was even as he said “Nigerians should refuse to be manipulated and influenced negatively through fake and, speculative news.”
He made the call when the Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP) Northern chapter under the leadership of Umar Ibrahim Mairaqumi paid him a courtesy visit in Sokoto on Tuesday.
Tambuwal said “Nigerians must co-exist peacefully and be their brothers’ keepers,” saying, “this is critical because crisis prone areas affect investors’ confidence.”
“Hence, we need to support this present government which is being spearheaded by Buhari to embark on the agenda of accelerated and sustained socio-economic development.”
Earlier, the Chairman of CNPP, Hon. Umar Ibrahim Mairaqumi commended the Governor for his non-partisanship in governance by carrying opposition political parties along.
He also commended his efforts in ensuring that the dividends of democracy is felt by the people of Sokoto State, saying, what he has done so far is worth emulating by others.
