The immediate past governor of Sokoto, Senator Aminu Tambuwal, has approved the appointment of 64 aides across the local governments in his constituency.
Tambuwal, who is also Chairman Senate Committee on Housing and Urban Development announced the appointment of Constituency and Local Government Aides for the Sokoto South Senatorial District in a press statement made available to the newsmen on Monday by his media aide, Muhammad Bello.
Bello said the initiative “is part of the Senator’s effort to empower his constituents and drive the Senator’s development agenda”
The newly appointed aides consist of some of his former commissioners and special advisers while serving as the governor of the state.
The appointed aides include Aminu Bala Bodinga, Special Adviser on Constituency Affairs and Stakeholders Engagement; Ahmed Rufai Maradu, Special Adviser on Constituency Political Affairs; Bala Yabo, Special Adviser on Constituency Welfare; and Hon Bello Tureta, Special Adviser on Constituency Traditional and Religious Affairs.
It also includes Nasiru Tambuwal, Special Adviser on Constituency Projects, Youth and Student Affairs; Bashir Lambara Special Adviser on Special Duties; Lauwali Fakku, Special Adviser on Community Orientation and Enlightenment; and Abdullahi Dange, Special Adviser on Constituency Security Matters.
Others are Lauwali Ubandoma , Surajo Isah, Ibrahim Ubale, Haliru Kilgori, Abubakar Rafi, Abubakar Salihu as well as Ummaru Bodinga.
The appointee also includes seven Special Assistants for each of the seven Local Governments within the Sokoto South Senatorial District.
The local governments include Tambuwal, Kebbe, Shagari, Yabo, Bodinga, Dange-Shuni and Tureta Local Governments area respectively.
The Senator congratulates the appointees and urges them to do their best in the discharge of their duties.
