…silent on national caucus
President Bola Tinubu has moved the meeting of the All Progressives Congress National Executive Committee expected to hold on Thursday to the Presidential Villa.
A three -paragraph statement signed by Felix Morka, National Publicity Secretary of the party, said it was due to logistical reasons.
The statement read in part: “The All Progressives Congress (APC) announces that the meeting of the Party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) scheduled to be held on Thursday, 24th July, 2025, will now take place as follows:
“Venue: Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja .Time: 2pm

“The change of venue from the Party’s National Secretariat – 40 Blantyre Street, Wuse II, Abuja to the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja is due to logistical reasons.”
Checks by Tribune Online revealed that Thursday meeting is the second instance the ruling party will be holding its NEC meeting at the seat of government.
Recall that under the Muhammadu Buhari administration, the emergency meeting that dissolved the National Working Committee of the party led by Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and pronounced Yobe state Governor, Mai Mala Buni as Chairman of a Caretaker Committee was held at Presidential Villa in year 2020.
The APC NWC statement was silent on the gathering of national Caucus that normally precedes its NEC meeting.
