SUSPECTED gunmen on Monday attacked Bagwai town, Bagwai local government area of Kano State, killing two persons including a son of a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stalwart and injuring four others in the process.
According to a reliable source who preferred anonymity, the gunmen killed the son of the PDP chieftain and one-time zonal woman leader of the party in Kano North, Hajia Balaraba Sani during the attack.
He added that the gunmen who came in a car invaded the town around 10.30 pm on Monday.
However, the source further revealed that another young man, Muhammad aged 35 and a staff of the Health Department, Bagwai local government council, was injured during the attack that lasted for a while.
The incident, the source said, occurred in front of a shop named Friday.
He also said officers of the Nigeria Police later came to remove the corpses while the injured were rushed to the hospital.

The source hinted that the invasion could be a robbery attack as two shops including a patent medicine and a provision stores were also targeted.
He explained that the first victim who was shot dead at the scene had just broken his voluntary fast and had approached one of the shops to by recharge card.
The spokesman of the Kano Police Command, DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, confirmed the incident to pressmen, promising to get more details across later. He is yet to do so as at the time of filing this report.
